Mansfield PD And Mayor Announce Driver Traffic Cone Program

MANSFIELD, OH - A new community program has been announced for Mansfield residents. 

Mansfield Mayor Tim Theaker and the Mansfield Division of Police have announced the Teen Driver Traffic Cone Program, which is designed to assist parents in helping their children, who already have a temporary drivers permit, to become more confident drivers. 

Through the free program, teen drivers will be able to practice the state's maneuverability exam with oversight from their parent or guardian. 

The program will also focus on creating safer drivers and discouraging texting while driving. Information packets are available in the city's traffic office. 

Adults can sign out a set of five traffic cones for a ten-day period. 

Cones can be signed out by contacting the Mansfield Police Traffic Section or by calling 419-755-9738 Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
