Car Fire Blocks Road In Perry Township

PERRY TOWNSHIP, OH - Several emergency crews responded to reports of a car fire at the intersection of Parsons Road and Algire Road in Perry Township.

According to Chief Rich Compton of Troy Township Fire Department, the fire was reported around 11:59 AM. The car was fully engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived, but all of the car's occupants had escaped from the burning vehicle without injury. It is still unknown what started the fire.

Departments responding to the scene included Troy Township Fire Department, Johnsville Fire Department, and Washington Township Fire Department. The narrow road was temporarily blocked off as crews worked to put out the fire and tow the smoldering vehicle from the scene.
