MANSFIELD, OH- WMFD has obtained video of a shooting that took place early Sunday morning April 7th from an anonymous source.

The first video shows a large brawl taking place. Security personnel are working to calm the crowd before chairs are thrown across the room. After a particularly violent throw, three shots ring out, sending patrons diving to the floor. In the second video, a victim is shown being loaded onto a stretcher by EMT's as people look on.

One person was transported in a shooting that occurred at The Patio at 1349 Park Ave West early Sunday morning.

In a press release, The Mansfield Division of Police said that they responded to the location at approximately 1:19 am when an Ohio State Highway Patrol unit advised that shots were fired at the location.

When police arrived, they found that 21-year-old Tyron Gray Jr was shot during the incident.  The victim was outside of the business when police arrived.  He was transported to Ohio Health Mansfield with a gunshot wound to the head.

The owner of The Patio released the followed statement via Facebook:

Different versions of the events that occurred on the morning of April 7th have and will continue to circulate. However, what really matters at this time is keeping the victim in our prayers.

Saturday night into Sunday morning there was an extremely long line to get into our establishment. We identified people in the line that had previously been banned from our premises mixed with a handful of people we had never seen before carrying out of state licenses. Mansfield as a community has been dealing with an influx of unwanted traffic from other states. We’ve been in business long enough to identify and know when potential patrons could cause a problem prior to entry. That is why we asked that large group of individuals to leave, and never allowed them past the security entrance. We asked repeatedly, they refused, and tried to barge through the security entrance. Our security team was able to successfully force them back outside. We won’t speculate what the fight outside was about. Three shots were fired from outside the bar at an individual who was also outside of the bar. The large group of individuals who were denied entry then all immediately left the premises.

Outsiders have plagued our community with violence. Locals in the community, my community, I believe will vouch for the respect we have shown all parts of our city. Once again, I ask for you to keep our city in your prayers and we are praying for a speedy recovery for the victim.
