Young Girl Passes Away From Injuries Sustained In Crash

MANSFIELD, OH - A young girl involved in a crash that occured on May 5th has passed away, according to a facebook post. 

Joshua Boggs stated in a Facebook post that his daughter, Faith Boggs, has passed away. 

"She is with her little sister in heaven. Faith and Katherine have always had a special connection." Joshua Boggs said on Facebook. 

A GoFundMe has been set up to support the family during this time. 

According to the GoFundMe Page, Joshua's son Bruce sustained bruises on his spine which has caused numbness in his legs. The numbness is expected to go away in time, according to doctors. 

Stacey's daughter Raina sustained a leg injury but is expected to be okay.

Katherine Boggs, Joshua's and Stacey's daughter, died during the crash. 

The Mansfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred when a 2005 red Ford F-350 was northbound on Ganges Five Points, and failed to stop for the stop sign and collided with a 2010 black Dodge Caravan that was westbound on State Route 96.

The Dodge Caravan was forced off the roadway and overturned, ejecting several occupants.

The driver of the Ford was 24 year old Matthew McBride of New London, Ohio. Matthew and three juvenile passengers were transported to Mansfield Ohio Health with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Dodge was 34-year-old Stacey Boggs of Shelby.  She was transported to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

Two passengers, 51-year-old Dreama Mabry, and 42-year-old Joshua Boggs, and three juvenile passengers of Shelby, all were transported to OhioHealth Mansfield with severe injuries.

A juvenile passenger was flown from the scene to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus with life-threatening injuries.

Assisting at the scene were Franklin Fire and EMS, Shiloh Fire and EMS, Shelby Fire and EMS and Community EMS, as well as the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and Richland County Coroner’s Office.

Several occupants in the Dodge, and the driver of the Ford were not utilizing seatbelts.
