ASHLAND COUNTY, OH - A Greenwich woman was killed as the result of a motorcycle crash around 11:11 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Route 250, just north of Ashland County Road 500.

The Ashland post of the Ohio State Highway Patrols says Tammy Stackhouse, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Stackhouse was a passenger on a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Charles Hand, 44, of Ashland.

Hand was taken to University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center in Ashland prior to being flown by medical helicopter to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The patrol says Hand was driving north on U.S. 250 and lost control, with the motorcycle traveling off the left side of the road and striking a wire fence.

The motorcycle then overturned and both occupants were ejected.

Neither of the occupants of the motorcycle were wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation.

Assisting at the scene were the Ashland County Sheriff's Office, Ashland Police Department, Savannah and Ruggles-Troy fire departments, Fireland's EMS and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
