MANSFIELD, OH- The 2019 Greek Festival at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in downtown Mansfield was a big success over the weekend.

Father Michael Ellis said that the event was a tremendous success all throughout the weekend.

"So far we've had a really great weekend.  Friday was a great success, Saturday was a great success, today is the last day of the festival," Father Ellis said.

The Greek Festival brought the Mansfield and Richland County community together according to Father Ellis.

"We've had some really comments and we really appreciate everybody.  It means a great deal for the community to come and support we want to support them," Father Ellis said.  "We want to support the community and be a part of the community as we've been here since 1927 and we want to keep being here for another 100 years."

Father Michael said that part of what makes Mansfield a great community is the sharing of cultures.

"It's really important to the community, one of the last ethnic festivals," Father Ellis said.  "Part of a community is to have it's own culture that it shares, not just a culture that's singular, but a community rather that shares culture with one another so we're really happy to happy people in our community come into our community so that we can be community."
