Three Questioned After Break In At EK Market In Mansfield

MANSFIELD, OH - The Richland County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating break in that occurred Thursday morning at EK Market. 

Deputies received an alarm from EK Market, located at 929 Springmill Road, at 1:44 A.M. A caller stated that they observed two subjects running south on Fairfax avenue but lost sight of them at the same time of the alarm. 

Deputies responded to the area and were not able to locate the subjects after a search. 

After talking with witnesses and the store owner, surveillance video was obtained, which showed three subjects breaking into the market. 

The Richland County Sheriff's Office made contact with three subjects on Trimble Road near Moritz Concrete that matched the description of the subjects seen in surveillance footage. The subjects, who are all juveniles, were questioned and transported back to the scene. Further evidence was discoved that showed that the three juveniles were the ones involved in the break-in. 

The three were transported to the Richland County Sheriff's Office where they were questioned and then released to their parents. 

Deputies took photos of the scene and evidence was collected. Surveillance Video was also submitted as evidence. 

The case will be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor's Office for charges, according to the Sheriff's Office.
