MANSFIELD, OH - A new play space was installed at Kingwood Center Gardens on Monday.

Located in front of the Peacock Playhouse, the Garden Market looks to offer imaginative play to kids who visit Kingwood Center Gardens.

"We're intentional about wanting children and families to enjoy our gardens," said Brenda Nelson, Director of Development and Marketing at Kingwood Center Gardens. "Giving children memorable experiences while they are here is so important."

The project was made possible thanks to a collaboration between Little Buckeye Children's Museum and Lowes.

A ribbon cutting was held to celebrate the grand opening, and to showcase the excitement that all organizations have to debut the Garden Market.

A goal for the play space is to teach kids the lesson of taking care of the environment.

"We want to teach them to love and appreciate nature now so that they will take care of it and love it later in life as well." Nelson stated.

Nelson thanked the collaboration from Little Buckeye Children's Museum and Lowes for their help in making the project a reality. Nelson also states that this is only the first step in building more educational opportunities at Kingwood Center Gardens.

Kingwood Center Gardens is located at 50 North Trimble Road in Mansfield, Ohio.
